cricket cricket betting — bet on every match from T20 to BPL
cricket is the place to bet on Bangladesh's most loved sport. From match winner to live in-play — all betting markets in one place.
Cricket's three formats and favourite tournaments
T20 matches wrap up in just a few hours, so the betting action comes fast. The situation shifts every over — a six or a wicket can change the complexion of a match in an instant. That is why T20 is the most popular format among bettors.
ODI (one-day cricket) is a 50-over game — it takes both planning and patience. The toss decision, pitch conditions, and weather all shape the way a match unfolds. Test cricket runs over five days, putting a team's depth and consistency to the test.
For cricket fans in Bangladesh, BPL is the biggest domestic cricket celebration of the year. Betting markets on cricket are also available for IPL, the T20 World Cup and ICC tournaments. The same applies to any international series featuring the Bangladesh Tigers.
Betting on football and other sports
Alongside cricket, cricket also offers football betting. Football markets go beyond the match winner to include goalscorer, handicap, and over/under. The main difference between cricket and football betting is pace — in cricket the odds shift when a wicket falls, in football it is a goal or a red card.
Betting opportunities are also available on sports such as Kabaddi and Badminton. However, the focus of Bangladeshi bettors is mainly on cricket, so cricket's betting markets are most extensive in that area.

7 popular betting markets with examples
Each market works differently — some depend on a team's overall performance, others on the outcome of a single moment.
Match Winner
EasiestWhich of the two teams will win — that is the match winner market. Example: in a T20 match between Team A and Team B, you pick Team B. If Team B wins, your bet is successful.
Toss Winner
Quick ResultYou can bet on the toss result before the match begins. This is a very short-term market — the outcome is decided the moment the match gets under way.
Top Batsman
Individual PerformanceThis market is about picking who will score the most runs for their team. Example: you select which of three batsmen from Team A will make the highest score.
Total Runs Over/Under
Score-BasedThis market is about whether the total runs scored in the match will be more (over) or fewer (under) than a set number. It has nothing to do with which team wins.
Multi Bet
Multiple SelectionsA multi bet means placing several bets on a single slip at the same time. If all selections are correct the return is higher, but if even one is wrong the entire bet is lost. Betting on three different matches at once multiplies the odds.
First Wicket and Powerplay Runs
Specialist MarketsMarkets such as who will take the first wicket or how many runs will be scored in the powerplay are mostly seen in T20. These bets focus on a small section of the match.
Handicap Betting
When there is a big gap in strength between two teams, the weaker team is given a virtual run advantage. For example, if Team A is given a 25-run head start, they can score 25 fewer runs and still 'win' for betting purposes. The result is worked out by subtracting the handicap from the actual score.
Decimal, Fractional and American Odds
Different betting sites display the same odds in three different formats. Once you know which format you are looking at, you can work out the return yourself.
First example: you place ৳500 on Team A to win. Decimal odds 2.25, fractional 5/4, American +125 — all three represent the same value. If the bet wins you get back ৳1,125 (৳625 profit + ৳500 stake); if it loses, ৳500 is gone.
Second example (favourite): Team B to win has decimal odds of 1.50, fractional 1/2, American -200. A negative American odds figure shows how much you need to stake to win ৳100. Place ৳500 and if it wins you receive ৳750 (৳250 profit).
The decimal format is the simplest — multiply the odds by your stake and you get the total return. cricket shows decimal format as the default.
| Format | Team A | Team B (Favourite) |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.25 | 1.50 |
| Fractional | 5/4 | 1/2 |
| American | +125 | -200 |
| ৳500 Return | ৳1,125 | ৳750 |
| Profit | ৳625 | ৳250 |

Odds shift the moment a wicket falls — live betting
Live in-play betting is the ability to place bets while a match is in progress. In T20 this is especially fast-moving — when a wicket falls the batting team's odds lengthen, and when a boundary or six is hit they shorten.
If runs come quickly in the powerplay, the batting team's odds shorten. On the other hand, if three wickets fall in the 8th over, the bowling team's odds drop sharply. These changes happen in real time, so watching the match closely is important when live betting on cricket.
In ODI, there are big odds movements just before and after the innings break. Once the target is set, the chasing team's win odds are recalculated. In Test cricket, changing weather or pitch conditions also cause the live odds to move.
A few practical tips before you start
- Start with a single match. New bettors often spread bets across many markets at once — this splits your focus and makes things harder to track.
- Understand the format before betting. T20 and Test markets work differently. A good result in one does not mean the same approach will work in the other.
- Keep a separate budget. Betting is part of entertainment — plan your spending accordingly. You can find more on the responsible gaming page.
- Multi bets carry higher risk. If any single selection is wrong the whole bet is lost — so build experience with single markets first.
- Do not rush in live betting. Watching how the match develops for a while before placing a bet gives you a clearer picture of the situation.
- Know the betting rules. Reading the terms and conditions will make it clear when a bet can be voided or refunded.
